Connect2U Community Day 2017

Connect2U Community Day is back for its third year! This fun and free community event will be held on Thursday, 27 April at Lake Windemere B-7 School in Salisbury North. All members of the community are welcome to come along and learn more about services and programs available in the northern suburbs while enjoying live music, activities, a free sausage sizzle and Devonshire tea.

This year’s musical guests include Brutha ‘N’ I, Hannah Yates and Damon Sparkes. The event will be MC-ed by Scott Rathman of Rusted Tin Contemporary Aboriginal Arts and will feature 25 stall holders from community, Government and Non-Government agencies.

There are plenty of great children’s activities lined up as well; karate workshops, a jumping castle, the MFS Fire Truck, SAPOL cars for children to play in, a photo booth, balloon artist, as well as face painting and air brush tattoo stalls. Children can engage with activities while parents talk to stall holders about local supports available.

“Connect2U is a fantastic way for families and community members to access a wide range of resources,” said Mandy, a school principal involved in last year’s event. “There was a great range of information and lots of fun and engaging activities for children.’
