It was a pleasure to host Asian Women’s Welfare Association from Singapore at our Hindmarsh site yesterday.
The mission of AWWA is to empower disadvantage to maximise their potential to lead dignified and independent lives. The visit by AWWA is part of a week-long fact finding mission for researching and planning to develop a 10 year program of residential and support services for single parent families in Singapore.
Some of our services prepared a short presentation about their work and allied programs for the group. The presentations were well-received by the AWWA visiting group.
The group’s visit coincided with Laura’s Governor’s Multicultural Award win and the group had a photo with Laura. Please visit our facebook page to see photos of AWWA’s visit.
