Blak Nite is a biennial showcase of South Australia’s best emerging and established Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander youth artists held on 31 October this year.
As part of Blak Nite Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Youth Arts Festival, Relationship Australia SA’s Gambling Help Service is proud to host a special workshop, designed to engage with indigenous youth through a series of hands-on activities on 31 October, 2-10 pm.
Presented through youth-targeted art, music, puppetry and games, the workshop:
- offers an introduction to what gambling is and the forms it can take within the lives of Indigenous Youth
- explores the reasons that people gamble
- discusses when gambling becomes a problem and its impact on the individual, family and community life
- promotes outcomes of hope, self empowerment, and resilience
This free workshop is designed to not only be educational, but also fun and thought-provoking.
