Congratulations Celine!

Celine Graham’s recent finalist award in the 2017 Channel 9 Young Achiever Awards, comes as no surprise to those who know Celine and the work that she does.

A proud Narrunga/Kaurna woman, Celine works as an Aboriginal Liaison Officer at Relationships Australia South Australia and has developed a food distribution program and conducted research on clients affected by domestic violence and their pets.

She is a member of The Aboriginal Women’s Wellbeing Group and the Inner North Domestic Violence Working Group, which deepens her understanding of the needs of people affected by domestic violence and homelessness.

As a graduate of the Diploma of Family Dispute Resolution at the Australian Institute of Social Relations, Celine is studying Law at University of Adelaide with plans to specialise in Family and Child Protection Law.

“I’m constantly asking myself how do I do the work that do and still raise two children that are going to be productive in society, carve their own path and the have the ability to stand up for what they believe in,” stated Celine when asked about her award, “being a finalist among all women nominees was also a good reminder that we are all working in the community from different angles.”

We congratulate Celine for being a finalist in the Channel 9 Young Achiever Awards, Department for Communities and Social Inclusion Aboriginal Achievement Award, knowing she is well on her way to becoming an influential community leader.
