We are excited to be launching our new name and branding, Future Youth Initiative (FYI) for a much loved service of Relationships Australia SA. FYI aims to improve the social and emotional wellbeing of children, youth and their families.
FYI’s tagline is ‘Your Life. Your Future. Your Way. Choose your destination, and we’ll help you plan and prepare for the journey ahead.’ The FYI team is dedicated to supporting young people from ages 12-21 who are at risk of leaving school, attending school but not participating or about to leave or have left and are not pursuing employment or further education. The service offers young people an opportunity to look towards the future with hope and acceptance.
Our staff are known for their never give up approach and the high attendance with our service proves that what we are doing is working.
Our focus areas are education, wellbeing, independent living skills and employability. We offer case management and a range of programs and activities. Read more about this on our webpage www.rasa.org.au/fyi
We even have the FYI Café in Blackwood which gives young people on the job training and mentoring. We’ll soon be adding locations at Hindmarsh and Glenunga. We serve delicious homemade meals and treats at a reduced price. Come along for morning tea from 11am to 2pm every Friday.
