Many parents feel concerned about their children’s ‘world-ready’ skills. At FYI we can help develop a living skills plan that strategically moves young people towards an independent future. This individualised plan includes skills in (but is not limited to) personal hygiene, money management, cooking, house-keeping, community/ transport access and developing an understanding of rights & safety.
Parents/guardians of young people enrolled in this course are encouraged to attend weekly sessions (day time or evening) with other parents. Concepts of behaviour change, positive psychology and motivation are explored through our Therapeutic Parenting: Relationships and Regulation program.
