‘Growing Together’ in the Riverland

The Riverland Farmers’ Market in partnership with Relationships Australia SA presents ‘Growing Together’ on Saturday 18 March.

This special market event includes seasonal local produce, a breakfast bar, craft stalls, children’s activities and a chance to meet Sophie Thomson, ABC TV Presenter, Gardening Australia and Neighbour Day Ambassador.

As guest speaker, Sophie will present ‘Saving the World with Gardening’, a talk about the many benefits of gardening, including benefits to our relationships.

Good relationships with others can transform communities. Social connection also makes us feel better as it helps prevent loneliness, isolation and depression. Growing Together is an official Neighbour Day event, aiming to bring people of the Riverland together, to grow strong, well-connected communities.

To RSVP and share the event on Facebook click here.

Neighbour Day is celebrated on the last Sunday in March every year with the aim of fostering strong personal connections that last the whole year round.

In 2017, Neighbour Day falls on Sunday 26 March with ‘The Importance of Social Connection for the Elderly’ this year’s theme.

Growing Together is on Saturday, 18 March from 7.30am to 11.30am at Berri Senior Citizens’ Hall, Crawford Tce, Berri. We hope to see you there!
