‘Walk a mile in their shoes’ will be this Friday 8th May, from 11:30am -12:30pm, at Frome Road, alongside Torrens River to Elder Park Rotunda.

We asked John Amadio, Senior Educator of the Australian Institute of Social Relations, the importance of this event and he said, “I am participating in the walk a mile in their shoes to shed further light on the very serious issue of domestic violence. The reality is that now two women a week die as a result of physical violence perpetrated against them by their male partner. While it is true that there is violence in same sex relationships and from female to male, the vast overwhelming violence is male to female and needs to be eliminated, or at least, reduced drastically.”
