Introducing the AVERT Family Violence Basics Training Course

In February 2014, The Australian Institute of Social Relations and Relationships Australia (SA) will be launching the AVERT Family Violence Basics Training Course, by offering a free webinar to introduce the new online training.

The AVERT Family Violence training package is a multi-disciplinary training package in family violence to provide workers at all levels within the family law system with a sound and practical understanding of family violence, its impact and appropriate strategies for responding which promote safety for all involved.

To celebrate the launch of the AVERT Family Violence Basics online training, Claire Ralfs and Iain Henderson from the Australian Institute of Social Relations will be hosting a webinar to introduce this important course.

The webinar will cover a range of issues on family violence including:

  • Diversity
  • Collaboration
  • Working with perpetrators
  • Holistic responses
