The Historical Institutional Abuse Inquiry in Northern Ireland has issued an appeal for victims and survivors of childhood institutional abuse to come forward.
They are aware that many children from homes in Northern Ireland were sent to Australia, Western Australia in particular, and so are anxious to hear from any of them who may have suffered abuse in residential institutions in Northern Ireland.
