Stronger Relationships Trial Ends

Minister for Social Services Scott Morrison announced this week that the Government’s Stronger Relationships trial will come to an early close, with funding being reinvested in frontline social services.

“The Stronger Relationships 12-month trial scheme offered subsidies for relationship education and counseling, however the programme was undersubscribed and will now end on Monday 9 February. This will allow $17 million in savings to be reinvested into essential frontline services under the Department of Social Services (DSS) grants scheme,” Minister Morrison said.

Couples who registered for the $200 subsidy prior to 9 February 2015 will have until 30 June 2015 to attend their counselling sessions.
