Together 4 Kids wins NAPCAN award

On 11 September 2014, our Together 4 Kids team received a NAPCAN Play Your Part Award, recognising their great work with children in the homeless sector.

In 2012, NAPCAN launched the Play Your Part Awards as part of National Child Protection Week to highlight inspiring prevention initiatives nationally. The awards recognise individuals, communities and organisations that have played their part in creating safer communities for children and young people.

The Awards provide a platform to share inspiring initiatives, and the stories behind them, to encourage more Australians to play their part in their own community to keep children and young people safe and well.

Together 4 Kids was presented the award by NAPCAN CEO, Richard Cooke, and Deputy Director at the Australian Centre for Child Protection, Leah Bromfield, at a ceremony held at Time for Kids and Act for Kids in Adelaide.

The award recognises the innovative work that the Together 4 Kids team has been doing in not only providing specialist therapeutic services to homeless or at risk children, but also in providing training and forging strong relationships with other service providers in order to shift from an ‘adult focused’ culture to a more ‘child inclusive’ paradigm.
